Race (2008) is considered as one of the best suspense Bollywood thriller. Every character had shades of grey and hidden agendas up their sleeve . The manner in which the twists and turns were executed the viewers felt themselves enjoying a roller coaster ride.

Race 2 has
double doses of hot long legged females , bare chested hunks , casinos ,
yachts , Lamborghinis , Audis , exotic locations in Istanbul , even the money at stake is in billions of Euros .
Saif is the
back bone of the film and the full story revolves around him , his friends, his
enemies, his conquests and his plans for revenge . There is a scene filmed at
Though the blast and chase sequence in Cyprus had Saif doing such weird action stunts that we felt like we were watching some animated scene. Another hard to believe sequence is when Saif diffuses a bomb from under a fast moving car amidst huge traffic .
John is good in the role of a ruthless business tycoon for whom nothing holds more importance than money. He also gets to show his well built muscles and eight packs (or more) in a street fight organised by Aditya Pancholi who plays the role of Godfather Hamza .
Deepika and
Jacqueline competed with each other in who dares to bare more and Deepika wins
the race by a good margin .
Anil
Kapoor’s character plays no significant
role in the film . He tells lame shape of a banana kind of jokes to his secretary which hardly add any humor to the film.
Ameesha as
the dim-wit secretary whose only purpose in life is to sleep with the Boss looks pathetic . We really expect more from the
actress who once gave us power packed performances in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
and Humraaz .
The makers
have ended the film with a dialogue “ Race jahan par khatam hoti hai wahi se shuru
bhi hoti hai” indicating the
possibilities of a part 3 in future . The film has collected more than 50 crores in 3 days indicating the film has clicked with the audience. I just hope the sequel focuses more on
the story and less on the glamour quotient .
In a line though the film is nowhere close to Race , it still has a few twists and is a fast paced entertainer . Good one time watch .

I went to Race 2 with Family in Gold class , which deserves a slap on my face after i saw the movie, as picture was not worth even sitting in Stalls at Gaiety Galaxy Gemini Theater in Bombay which is considered as the barometer of box office success movie hall
ReplyDeleteI was very happy with Race1 as had all the thrills, epic suspense and good pace to the movie but this movie was bland on thrills or suspense than even my kaamwali bai would not like to see it , with or without me next to her
Picture was full of gloss and skin show and nothing else. had the director duo focused more on the script rather than plunging necklines and awesome long legs of the heroines, picture would be a block buster for sure
The best part of the movie is just after the interval, when the song Lat Lag Gayi comes alive, beauty of a song and the second best scene is when the word THE END comes on the screen
The picture climax of fight in a Plane is an insult to audience mind and a slap on his face, who pats 3oo to 600 per ticket and gets to see such rubbish climax where two people jump on one parachute , the car has 4 parachute attached , there is no oxygen mask drop when door opens up or window breaks open - i mean how weird can you get and treat such cow dung climax to people ? the captain too of the plane was upset and was saying WTF is going on
The first half of movie was smooth and nicely paced and building up to a climax but turned out to be a anti climax and a let down complete basis and what rubbish they show that the card game, card changes just like that, i mean don't insult our thinking process by showing such garbage tricks
Picture took in 50 Cr i guess by the sheer power of star cast , epic 2 songs , Part one reputation of class movie and add to it public holidays but i am sure it wont join the 100 cr club for sure
Abbas Mustan have dished out a 2nd trash after Players, its high time they change the theme of their suspense to more on the edge and also change their white pant / shirt for better luck at the box office
Picture is worth a watch for the gloss m skin show and one must walk away before the flight takes off in climax, to come out in a more better frame of mind
Its certainly not worth spending almost 500 per ticket on it
I feel cheated and need a refund but i am sure i wont get one so will download Race 3 for free and see at home, so i will support pirace for Race 3 and see if for Free Free Free
Wonderful movie. All the masala that one wants to see, stylishly laid out. Fast paced, with twists and links, an excellent movie to watch.
