The film released two weeks back along with Nautanki Saala and blaim it on the Vicky Donor effect most of us chose to watch the latter which turned out to be such a fiasco. Last week, after I read negative reviews of Ek Thi Dayan we went to watch it hoping that at least we won't be bored .

The film really took me by surprise . Vidyut Jamwal who outshone John Abraham  in Force was  in his element in this film.

The opening shot shows Captain Karan Vir Dogra of the 9 Para Commandos of the Indian Army in a Chinese army prison. He has been captured on suspicion of being on an espionage mission.
Though the story follows the same old pattern of how the hero manages to save the heroine from the clutches of the villain , he even says a much used line ' Jungle ka kanoon hai, maaro ya mar jao ',
Vidyut Jamwal's confidence and body language while doing the action sequences is what sets the film apart . 

Jaideep Ahlawat as the villian with no pupils does manage to give some competition to the hero but when his character reads Santa Banta jokes to the victims before killing them , it's more funny than menacing. I think it's high time that directors should get jokes specially written for their films as how many times can we laugh on the already heard jokes ?

Pooja Chopra who became Miss India in 2009 just manages to give an average performance. Her dressing style is totally out of place for a small town . Her face doesn't express much anguish even in the most tragic situations.
The item song by Nathalia Kaur is totally wasted.

In a line, the film has some great action scenes which are sure to give you an adrenaline rush.

Must watch for action lovers / Good one time watch .
