The film is about some fun filled moments in the life of four friends who share a bonding with each other but are also practical and live life according to their own terms.

Ranbeer Kapoor has given so many award winning performances in the last years that this role was like a cake walk for him . His acting is so natural that whatever character he plays he totally erases the memory of his past roles. He can be the young and carefree Sid  and then he surprises you as the intense Jordan . You are still in awe of the Rockstar when he stuns you by playing the simple and golden hearted Barfi .

Last year , Deepika Padukone as the sizzling Veronica totally stole the limelight from Saif Ali in Cocktail . In this film , her character has the maximum scope of expressing different emotions and she successfully outshine others . Her dialogue, 'Jitna bhi chaho ,kuch na kuch to chootega ,jahan ho usko enjoy karo'  must be followed by everyone who in the hope of having a better future are running after unattainable dreams and ruining their present.

Aditya Roy Kapoor’s character seemed to be an extension of his role from Aashiqui 2 as most of the time he was seen with a beer bottle or a glass of scotch . He is a good actor , but this film was not about him so his character's story was not properly explored .

Kalki was shown as the confident and practical girl who knows what to choose between romantic dreams and  happiness . She adds to the glamour quotient of the film.

It’s the current trend to take stars for cameo roles but I wonder if Rana Daggubati really had to do that 30 seconds role. It was even worse than Abhishek Bachchan’s cameo in Nautanki Sala.

Though the  film is directed by Ayan Mukerji , it totally had the Karan Johar feel . It was full of glamour , grandeur , lavish sets , good music and foot tapping dance numbers  .

Madhuri Dixit fans totally loved her in  the item dance ‘Ghagra’

Faarooq Sheikh as the loving and caring father who wants his son to follow his dreams leaves impact in his small role.

In a line, don’t expect some epic romance like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge  or a saga  of great friendship like Dil Chahta Hai or Zindagi Na milegi dobara and  you will not be disappointed.

One time theater watch . Time Pass.

Rank- 6 (Out of the 29 films I have seen in 2013 )

  2. I must admit and state that i expected this movie to be dull and long & boring considering over publicity , large # of screen release and high rates - all making of hit & run i.e. make money in 3 days and laugh all the way to the bank, but i agree to be proved wrong and its a good one time watch movie for sure....

The dialogue that haunts me is Waqt kisi ke liye nahi rukta , beetta waqt hai , par kharch hum hote hai - now when i look back at my life, i feel much time is gone and i must spend rest of my life with people i love , quality time , and enjoy myself to the maximum basis

Kalki was the firebrand and the best part of the movie, bindas girl, knows whats right & wrong for her and super natural acting

The movie first half was like a Honeymoon phase, quick, pace, fun, thrills and the second half is like a marriage life, dull , boring and stressful but due to the two best songs kept for second half makes the movie on a whole, a pleasure one time watch

What the movie teaches you is chase your dreams, care a dam for the world.....but as the movie in the end also teaches, THAT MARRIAGE RUINS YOUR DREAMS and if you see the movie closely, Bunny dreams also ruined because of his call to go for marriage.....so its proven marriage sucks and spoils the fun in life..... stay single make hay and more

Ranbir is just too cool and awesome in the movie and lives his part to the T and bought tears in my eyes when he interacts with his dad in 2-3 solid scenes and as i have lost my dad, i can feel it a lot and his explanation why he could not make it to his dad funeral was so genuine and can happen to anyone.....

Why aditya got into booze or gambling is a Q mark, i guess he was Gay (Like Kjo) and thus could not bear seperation from Ranbir thus gets into depress mode.....a few scenes it seems were shot later on just to cash in on his Aashiqui craze with booze and related

As expected picture had gloss , glamour , awesome locations , crisp editing and just a tard bit long

Did you spot Aryan M in the scene sitting on floor next to Ranbir when Kabhi Kabhi song was playing in background

I hope i too can fulfill my desires and my dreams the way Ranbir did in first half of movie

I hope Ranbir wife allows him to live his life to the fullest when they get married.....i am talking of the continuity scene in the movie

Ideally Ranbir should have gone away to Paris for hos job but that would mean box office failure for sure so he played safe game and came back to mess up his life getting married.....Sigh

Riya, you rock with your reviews, i still love GOW and you still love SOW .......
