Chennai Express started in a narrative style with SRK saying that 'Myself Rahul, 40 saal ka ho gaya hoon aur normally is age tak har kisi ki life main ek aadha twist to aa hi jata hai .' We prepared ourselves for a happening journey with lots of twists and entertainment. As soon as Deepika made her entry in the film a big twist came and suddenly everyone started talking in Tamil. There were no subtitles. In a Rohit Shetty's film we are used to flying cars but when 30% of the dialogues are being said in Tamil we wonder for which audience the film is being made.

Deepika Padukone , after exposing to the limits in Coctail and Ye jawani hai diwani appears as a well dressed South Indian girl. She looked beautiful when she is quiet and expressing with her eyes but the moment she starts talking in the weird accent she has adopted for the film she starts getting on our nerves. She herself must be fed up of the simple look as in the item number 'lungi dance' at the end she is back  in her glamorous look in  see through sarees and low cut blouses.

Shahrukh Khan was the king of romance once. When he said to Kajol 'Kuch kuch hota hai anjali ,tum nahi samjhogi' we all felt his love for the girl who once was his friend .
In Chennai Express , he himself was using all his famous lines in a comic way which was not at all humorous. Though we did laugh in some scenes but then we expect much more from Shahrukh Khan.

The film shows some really beautiful and scenic locations  of the South which are at par with the Switzerland we see in Yash Chopra films.

Music of the film is very ordinary . Just one song 'Meherbaani nahi tumhara pyar maanga hai' is melodious .

In a line the film would have been more entertaining ,if Rohit Shetty had made it for the common man who doesn't understand Tamil .

Shahrukh Khan fans will watch it. Time pass .

Rank - 19 out of the 40 films I have seen in 2013

  2. I have seen several movies of Srk and many of them have been watchable and some are beauties like my Name is Khan and some are Dharavi Gutter like Ra.One. I went into this movie keeping in mind its Rohith Shetty movie but with combo of Srk so has to make some sensible movie with full on masala movie

Within the first 30 minutes of the movie you are prepared to face the worst as the story goes from weird to worst to migraine level and it was a pure waste of 2 hours 22 minutes and lots of money too

The storyline makes no sense, he keeps running with the heroine from Point A to Point B to Point C and then returns back to Point A to haunt us more but best part of returning to Point A is that the movie ends

Yes the movie has done 100Cr in 3 days which is remarkable and its sheer star power and Eid holidays and long weekend and raised ticket prices combination which has made the movie race to such a figure....key is will it hold this week's test of good collections, i doubt it as majority of the people have seen the movie, there is no repeat view appetite except for hard core Srk fans

The songs were all below par except the Lungi Dance which came in the end and by that time people were eager to walk out of the cinema house and not sit through more of the Bakwas movie

I stated few facts of the movie of how rubbish it is, on Twitter and believe me, the whole Srk army came behind me, got abusive, threats and what not....had difficult time in blocking so many people after myself abusing them in their same language....its Twitter, Darlings, all have the right to express they like the movie or not, don't get personnel as nor you or i will make money in this movie, only our money goes into buying tickets

Srk needs to grow up and do more sensible films and play his age and not take the common man for granted always

Its sheer luck that Once upon a Time did not come for release the same day, or-else the collection would have been half of what it is, so Srk should thanks Ekta for her favor to him

The excess use of Tamil made the people in the cinema house confused WTF is going on and why were there no subtitles for what they were going on and on and on about.....

Most idiotic scenes were when he lands up in Sri Lanka waters and his conversation with the Midget in the jungle

Sad i had to sit through this movie......

This movie was Read Steady Gu..... (Shit ) and not Po.....
