Jism 2 - Much Ado About Nothing !!

One word which describes the film – Misleading

Best Dialogue   – “Zindagi tujhe toh sirf khwaab mein dekha hai maine.”

Genre- Erotic Thriller

Director-  Pooja Bhatt

Writer - Mahesh Bhatt

Producer – Dino Morea , Pooja Bhatt

Music Director - Arko Pravo Mukherjee [1]Mithoon

Budget – 15 crores (approximately)

Pooja Bhatt said in an interview that she hopes 'Jism 2' would be lucky for her the way " Arth "was for her father Mahesh Bhatt. If only she had thought twice before comparing her film with Mr Bhatt's classic. If we compare Jism 2  with Paap , Pooja Bhatt's first film as director she  has worsened with time. Paap (2003) had good music, beautiful scenic locations along with a strong story and screenplay.

Sunny Leone was marketed as the ace of spades of Jism2. Sadly, she is the one who brought the full house down by giving just one expression throughout the film and that involved deep breathing and heaving to accentuate her ample bosoms .

It was like Pooja Bhatt had taught her that 'To be a good actress you must master these three expression -
Deep Breathing (when in anger)
Deep Breathing (when scared )
Deep Breathing (when excited )
Firstly she couldn't act, secondly she was made to say heavy dialogues with an expressionless face like -“Usne mujhe chooa, toh aisa laga ki jannat ne choo liya. Aur phir woh chala gaya apni khusboo chodke, mere tan pe, mere kapdo pe.”

The tough-officer-in-love role did not suit Arunoday Singh and he ends up with unintentionally funny expressions on his face in the emotional scenes.

Randeep Hooda  as Kabir is the only saving grace of the film. His dialogue delivery was powerful and at times reminded us of Naseeruddin Shah. In an interview he said that after the script was narrated to him he told  Pooja Bhatt that he wanted  become an iconic sex symbol with this film.Guess this must have shifted some of Pooja's focus as Hooda's shirtless look is creating more news than sunny's bare back.

Seasoned actor Arif Zakariya was totally wasted in the role of  Arunoday's senior. We actually laughed when he was saying poor dialouges like - "Us jaanwar ko apne dil main pala hai isne " .

Mahesh Bhatt did create a lot of buzz for the film by announcing Sunny as the lead heroine for Jism2  on National TV and it was our trust in his style of films that took us to the theatres . If only he had written a better story and screenplay to hold the attention of the audiences. There was no story on how Izna became a porn star or why she chooses to sleep with a guy whom she meets in a party. After all she was a girl who worked in Adult films, not a prostitute.
How we wish Mr Bhatt had just made a Hollywood inspired film with Emraan Hashmi ,instead of inflicting Sunny Leone on us.
The weakest point of the film was that it had just 5 actors and the coup de grâce was that all of them died one after another and that too without any strong reason or justification.

The film started with some scenes showing Sunny in skimpy outfits ,short dresses and high heels. The much talked about steamy scenes and kisses were all in the Maula and Abhi Abhi songs which were already being shown on TV . And to watch these 15 minutes of already seen pleasures we had to bear a 2 hour slow and boring story . Pooja Bhatt's claim that Jism 2 will be the most sensual films of our times that targets the mature audiences was a big marketing gimmick just to attract the audience to the theatres.
I fail to  understand who was the target audience for Jism 2 as it had nothing for the masses who whistled at every scene of " The Dirty Picture "  but were silent during most of Jism2  . It even failed to impress the classes because of its weak story and poor acting by the lead actors.

In one line if Jism 2 is an Erotic Thriller ,then  Ra1 was the best superhero film and Rascals the Best comedy.  A better way to enjoy Jism 2 would be to play the song Maula and Abhi Abhi on repeat and watch Sunny Leone's earlier works. Highly Avoidable.

  6. one more thing if mr.bhatt wanted to show why the girl becomes a prostitute he could have hired paoli dam (of hate story) instead of PORN STAR as she says proudly "me is seher ki sabse badi RAN*I Banna chahti hu" it would have been much better than DEEP BREATHING
