One Word which describes the film –
Soporific (sleep inducing)

 –

Chah kar phir chhod dena chahe tum...
Dil tod ke jaane ki izazat aaj bhi hai...

Genre - Romance

Story -
Luv Ranjan

Music – Hitesh Sonik

Producer -  Kumar Mangat , Abhishek Pathak

Direction Luv Ranjan

Budget – 7-8 crores ( approximately )

The film starts with the lead pair meeting in a college . They spend 3 years in college but we hardly find them studying or interacting with other students. They have just two friends  whose sole purpose of studying in that college is to promote Akaash and Vani’s love story. Even when the love birds go on a study tour to Manali we only find them singing songs and roaming in the markets.
There are jokes like “ To be or 32 B”  which remind us of  similar conversation  in  Pyar Ka Punchnama which makes us wonder why is the director fascinated with this size .
For the first half both the hero and heroine keep smiling and laughing without any reason  , making us wonder if they are promoting some toothpaste brand . After interval we see all of them with sad faces .
Most of the time the heroine wears Indian dresses which are even worse than the ones we find at Globus.

Kartik and Nushrat have acted well and share a good on screen chemistry but the film is so dull and  boring that they fail to leave an impact in the mind  of the viewers .
There's not even one scene like Rajat 's 5 minutes outburst in Pyar Ka punchnama which had all of us laughing till our stomachs ached !

The director tried to cash on the popularity of  his earlier film  Pyaar Ka Punchnama  as all the promos and posters mentioned that Akaasvani was from the makers of Pyar ka Punchnama . The last time this formulae was used was for the publicity of  Jhootha Hi Sahi  when the posters mentioned that it was from the makers of   Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and we all know how entertaining  “ Jhoota hi Sahi “ turned out to be .

In a line if Pyar Ka Punchnama was a 8 /10 for its entertainment value , Akaashvani falls to a 1/10 for its slow and dragging story .
Highly avoidable even if it is telecasted on television !

Rank- 10  (Out of the 11 Films I have seen in 2013 )

  1. The Couple failed to spread the same magic again. Disappointed. Now waiting for Pyar ka Punchnama 2!!
